Celebrate a different culture

Everyone has been brought up with different cultural traditions, whether they are religious, family backgrounds, links to different countries or social environments. Think about how your might learn more about different cultures, and how you might celebrate them.

Where to start

Talk to friends and think about the traditions you have at home, and how they might be different. Do you celebrate the same holidays, or have different routines?

Ask a friend if you might join them in doing an activity that is related to their culture. Make it an exchange – invite them to experience something of your culture.

Join an event that might offer insights into a different cultural experience, this might be attending a church service, or an open event held by a cultural group, such as a festival or carnival.
