Creative Exchange
Between August and October 2022, six local creative organisations partnered with schools and youth community organisations to deliver artistic projects. We engaged over 700 children who managed to tick five or more points off the 99by19 list! Read below for the exciting activities they got up to.
Six Creative Deliveries
Steve Lawes with Southend Museums
Steve worked in partnership with Southend Museums to deliver three sessions about local Anglo-Saxon heritage to four primary schools.
Focal Point Gallery
FPG delivered two activity days to engage young people in a high-quality exhibitions, involving them in activities to build skills and develop creative confidence.
Southend Choirs with Come and Sing Company
Southend Choirs with Come and Sing Company provided a day of group singing experiences, designed to be accessible, inclusive, and creative. The day allowed children and young people to sing, lead, perform and develop new skills and experiences.
Unpuzzled Theatre Company C.I.C with Southend Targeted Youth Services
Unpuzzled Theatre Company worked with Southend Targeted Youth Services where they delivered six performance workshops of their participatory piece, The Mitten.
Petra Holly with Hamstel Primary School
Petra ran series of four full-day creative / outdoor workshop sessions for five Year 2 classes where they engaged in learning about soil and it's properties.
Brazilarte Academy
From the Academy located in Victoria Shopping centre, Brazilarte offered a course of open interactive classes in Capoeira, Dance, Music & Carnival Arts.
