A reading challenge is a great way to stay occupied over the holidays, to learn new ideas, have adventures, expand your vocabulary and enter new worlds!
Where to start
Ages 4–11? Try the summer reading challenge
Struggling to find a book? Southend Library have a huge selection of books for all ages and abilities, find books online, or when you can visit.
Set your own challenge! Whether that is to read one book, three books or seventeen books – if it is a challenge for you it is an achievement! Books also don’t have to be long, try a comic or short story.
