Upcycled fashion

Did you know that fashion accounts for around 10% of greenhouse gas emissions from human activity? There are ways to reduce the impact your wardrobe has on the climate. Ditch fast fashion and start upcycling!

Where to start

Take a look in your wardrobe and find items that could be repurposed. You may even find new outfits through doing this!

Try second-hand items! Try exploring charity shops in Southend and finding new pieces or check out depop and vinted if you are having difficulty finding items.

Learn skills to help you repair and upcycle your clothes! Sewing, pattern-cutting or tie-dying are fun ways to bring new life to old things, as well as helping the environment.
