Watch the tide go in and out

Watching the tide go in and out can be calming and soothing! Listening when its quiet to the noise of the waves.

Where to start

Leave all distractions at home and visit the seafront. Make sure you do this safely, accompanied by an adult if required.

Focus on the water moving and settle your breathing to match the movement of the waves. How do you know if the tide is coming in or out? Look at the boats!

Have you thought about watching the tide at different times of the day? How about going when the sun is rising or setting? Make sure to check the Southend-on-Sea Tide Times
